Our EMT program is designed to fit into your life while providing the comprehensive, hands-on training you need.

Our evening EMT Basic course runs for 12 weeks. Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Students should expect to commit to this schedule fully, as attendance is mandatory. You should also plan for several hours of studying and homework outside of class time each week to be successful.

Graduating from our program is the first major step! We will guide you through the official certification process, which includes:

  1. Pass Our Course: Successfully complete all academic and practical requirements of our program.

  2. Pass the NREMT Psychomotor Exam: This is the national hands-on skills test. We are an official testing site, so you’ll do this in a familiar environment.

  3. Pass the NREMT Cognitive Exam: This is a computer-based test taken at a Pearson VUE testing center.

  4. Apply for State Licensure: Once you’ve passed both national exams, you’ll apply for your official EMT license through the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services & Preparedness (BEMSP).

We ensure you know exactly what to do at every stage to get licensed and ready for your new career! ✅

Yes! We are a premier training center for EMS professionals looking to advance their skills. Our other popular course offerings include:

  • Wilderness Medicine: Specialized courses like Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Wilderness First Aid (WFA) for those who work or play in remote environments.

  • Continuing Education: A wide range of CME/refresher courses and certifications like ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS to keep your skills sharp and your license current.

Choosing your training program is a big decision. Our students consistently choose us because of our:

  • Experienced Instructors: You’ll learn from seasoned paramedics, firefighters, and nurses who are passionate about EMS and student success.

  • Student Support & Free Tutoring: We are invested in your success. Our instructors are always available for extra help, and we provide free tutoring to any student who needs it.

  • Hands-On Learning Focus: Our program is built around practical, hands-on scenarios. You won’t just learn from a book; you’ll master essential skills in realistic simulations to build your confidence and competence.

  • Career Support: We provide guidance and post job opportunities from our local partners to help you secure a position after you are certified.

We focus on providing a high-value, comprehensive education. While you should check our website for the most current tuition rates, your tuition fee is packed with benefits beyond just the class itself, including:

  • Multiple Certifications: You will earn your BLS Provider Certification (from HSI or AHA), Stop the Bleed, PEPP (Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals), and EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) education as part of the course.

  • Personalized Attention: We guarantee small class sizes to ensure every student gets the individual focus and support they need from our instructors.

  • Free Tutoring: If you need extra help with any topic, we provide free one-on-one tutoring to ensure you master the material.

  • All Lab & Skills Supplies: All equipment and supplies needed for your hands-on training are included.

  • First Skills Exam Attempt: The fee for your first attempt at the NREMT psychomotor (hands-on) exam is covered.

Please note the course textbook, the National Registry cognitive exam fee, and the Utah state licensing fee are separate costs. We offer flexible payment plans to help you invest in your future.

Getting started on your new career path is exciting! Here are the requirements you’ll need to meet to enroll in our program:

  • Age: You must be 18 years old by the final day of the course. We welcome students who are 17 to enroll, provided they will turn 18 by the end of the course and submit a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian.

  • Education: You need to have a high school diploma or a GED.

  • CPR Certification: No prior CPR certification is needed! We provide your official BLS Provider certification (from AHA or HSI) as part of the EMT course curriculum.

  • Background Check: You must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening, which are required for state licensing and clinical rotations.

  • Immunizations: You will need to provide proof of required immunizations (such as TDAP, MMR, Hepatitis B, and a recent TB test) to meet the standards of our clinical partners.

Once you have these items in order, you are ready to apply and begin your journey in EMS!
