This intensive 14-week Advanced EMT (AEMT) program starts February 3, 2026, and is designed for active EMT-Basics ready to master advanced interventions. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6:00 PM – 11:00 PM) with select Saturday sessions.

  • Advanced Skills: IV/IO access, advanced airway, and cardiac pharmacology.
  • Certifications Included: AHA ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
  • Requirement: Must hold an active Utah EMT-Basic License.

Advanced Certifications Included:

Our curriculum goes beyond the standard AEMT scope to include critical professional certifications:

  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • BLS: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

Advanced Skills You Will Master:

  • Advanced Airway Management & Supraglottic Devices
  • Intravenous (IV) Access & Intraosseous (IO) Infusion
  • Advanced Pharmacology (Injections, IV Meds, & Fluid Resuscitation)
  • Cardiac Rhythm Recognition & Manual Defibrillation
  • Advanced Patient Assessment & Clinical Pathophysiology

Mandatory Prerequisites:

  • Active Licensure: Must hold a current Utah EMT-Basic License (Active status required by the first day of class).
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Compliance: Must pass a current criminal background check.
